Promoting Our Region

We work proactively to encourage productions to choose the South West, ensuring inward investment continues to grow. As well as maintaining an online directory of thousands of locations, crew and facilities in the region, we work in partnership with local authorities, providing a one-stop-shop for incoming productions. We also offer advice and assistance to companies looking to relocate or open offices in the region.

Last year alone we recorded a spend of £66 million as a direct result of productions filming in the South West.

This ‘Film Friendly’ programme has transformed the quality, access, coordination and delivery of the region’s response to incoming productions and we are reaping the rewards. Recent productions shot in the region include Bonekickers, Mistresses, Lark Rise to Candleford, Skins, Casualty, Being Human, Echo Beach and Moving Wallpaper, and Working Title / Richard Curtis feature The Boat that Rocked.
